This Privacy Policy describes how MoonMuse ("MoonMuse," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our website at moonmuse.studio and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account information

When you create a MoonMuse account, we collect your email address, a hashed password (or third-party sign-in identifier), and basic profile details you choose to provide.

1.2 Connected platform data (Etsy and Pinterest)

MoonMuse lets you connect third-party accounts, including Etsy and Pinterest. When you connect these accounts via OAuth, we receive and process:

• OAuth access and refresh tokens issued by Etsy and Pinterest
• Listing and product data (titles, descriptions, tags, images, prices, URLs) from your Etsy shop
• Pinterest account metadata, including your boards, board names, and pin publishing status

We only access this data with your explicit permission, granted through the standard OAuth consent flow for each platform. You can revoke access at any time from your MoonMuse settings or directly from Etsy or Pinterest.

1.3 Generated content

MoonMuse generates marketing content and Pinterest creatives (titles, descriptions, tags, pin images) based on your listings. Generated content is stored in your account so you can review, edit, approve, and publish it.

1.4 Usage and device data

We collect basic usage information such as pages visited, features used, approximate location derived from IP address, browser type, and device identifiers. This helps us operate, secure, and improve the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Generate marketing copy, Pinterest pins, and related creative outputs at your request
• Publish approved pins to Pinterest boards you have selected
• Authenticate you, prevent fraud, and protect the security of the Service
• Communicate service updates, security notices, and support
• Comply with legal obligations

3. How We Store and Protect Your Data

MoonMuse stores OAuth access tokens, refresh tokens, and other sensitive credentials securely in our managed backend. Tokens are stored encrypted at rest, access is restricted via row-level security so only your account can read your own tokens, and tokens are transmitted only over TLS.

We follow industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to protect your information.

4. How We Share Information

MoonMuse does not sell your personal data. We share information only in the following limited cases:

• With Etsy and Pinterest, to read your listing data and publish approved content on your behalf
• With trusted service providers (hosting, database, analytics, AI model providers) under contractual confidentiality obligations, only to the extent needed to operate the Service
• When required by law, such as in response to a valid legal request or to protect rights, safety, or property
• In connection with a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition, with notice to you where required

5. AI and Generated Content

MoonMuse uses third-party AI models to generate marketing copy and Pinterest creatives from your listing data. The data we send to these providers is limited to what is necessary to produce the requested output. We do not authorize providers to use your data to train their general-purpose models.

6. Cookies and Analytics

We use a small number of essential cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We may also use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate Service usage. We do not use cookies for cross-site advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may prevent the Service from functioning.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data, connected-platform tokens, and generated content for as long as your account is active. If you disconnect an integration, we delete the associated OAuth tokens. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing.

You can request account or data deletion at any time by emailing us at privacy@moonmuse.studio. You may also disconnect Etsy or Pinterest from your MoonMuse settings, which immediately revokes our stored tokens for that integration.

9. Children's Privacy

MoonMuse is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

10. International Users

MoonMuse is operated from, and your data may be processed in, jurisdictions that may have data protection laws different from those of your country. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers consistent with applicable law.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service or by email.
